Draught @ The Rover. Pours hazy reddish golden with a frothy and bubbly offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is fruity and herbal with crackers, grapefruit juice, corn tortillas, freshly cut grass, pine needles, lemon zest, orange peal, lemon cough drops, mint, soil and black currant leaves. Taste is heavy bitter, tiny fruity and slightly herbal with corn tortillas, white bread, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, black currant leaves, lemon balm, lemon cough drops, lemon zest, lime zest, pine needles, soil and hints of black currant leaves and alcohol. Mouthfeel is slightly crisp, heavy astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter and herbal with white bread, grass, pine, grapefruit rinds, black currant leaves, soil, peppermint and lemon zest.

Medium, off-white head over veiled red-amber beer. Grapey, aromatic hops, exotic fruit, intense. Bit of ureum and resin both. Bitter, hoppy, hopoils. Finish has really the true tangey wryness of fresh lupulin. Unripe banana, nearly astringent, resin. Feels well-carbonated, spritzy, bit sticky. Medium bodied at best. Severe - but undeniably good. Combination with salty and sweet snacks might prove disastrous - would result in extreme resiny bitterness.
