Sur is Danish for sour and Mosaic refers to the hop that this beer is based upon. This is a sour mashed 6% pale ale, where we have tried to give a traditional Pale Ale an lactic acid backbone. The lactic acid comes with acidity, but also a fatness that works really well with the mosaic hop, that gives clear notes of tropical fruits like mango and passion fruit.

Keg. Odd sour affair here. Pretty successful. The way the hops and funk marry up is actually fairly original all round. Definitely got that lactic edge, but something else I can’t quite describe! Little malt on the finish, medium dry.

I thaught this beer almost like tangerine beverages. But certainly can feel malty taste. And I hardy feel alcohol booze .

Pours amber with a large head. Nose shows stonefruit, papaya, funky farmhouse notes and passionfruit. Slightly sour flaovurs, with more stonefruit, grapes and refreshing pear notes.

33cl bottle. Pours hazy light orange golden with two fingers of white head. Very good aroma of malts, tropical fruits, funky yeast with acidic notes. Taste is lightly malty with grain, fruitiness again, not overly strong acidity, some lemon note, light final. Saltiness. Watery texture, medium body, medium to high carbonation. Dry finish, very light bitterness Excellent sour.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a large white head. Aroma is wonderful, full of passionfruit, mango, and loads of dry hops that sit atop. Flavour follows suit, with mango and passionfruit upfront, quickly transitioning to dry hops, ending citrusy and hoppy. Super fresh, hoppy and fruity. Very complex and highly drinkable. Wonderful stuff.

Tap from Roundhouse. Very hazy-opaque orange-amber pour with dense head. Aroma of fruity passion fruit hops and tartness. Taste is very sour with substantial - and balanced - hoppy fruitiness. Easy drinking despite the very sour flavor. Not bad - wouldn't have expected to like it as much as I did.

courtesy of Maria Rothacher - hazy golden beer wth a respectable head retention; fair aroma of tropical fruits; medium-bodied but quite heavy, fairly sweet and decently sour; quite long finish with more fruity tones and a fair residual sweetness

330 ml bottle
Murky orange beer with off-white head which does not last long. Aroma has mango, kiwi and the To Øl house aroma – rubber. Also something strange, probably the lactic acid? Flavor is only slightly sour, sugary sweet and fruity with mango and passion fruit. Palate is medium full with medium carbonation. Finish has quite heavy bitterness and slight sourness. Aftertaste is grapefruity and fruit juicy sweet. A refreshing beer, would love this on a hot summer day. Only marginally sour, but it fits the taste.
