3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I quite like this. A lot of black IPAs come out on the sweet side and fail to hit the bitter citrus notes that I look for. Not this one. The citrus and pine is there, albeit delicately, and it’s not too sweet. Good beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours brown. Roasted chestnuts on the nose with chocolate and malts as well. Citrus on the palate with some funky almost brett sourness as well. A really nice IPA once it got a little warmer, a little too cold when served. (rating backlog rated on or around 16/06/2013)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Christian Firtal. Aroma of citrus hops, with some licorice, and a less pleasant note of yeast or old hops(?) Sweet malty flavour with roasted character and licorice, and some citrus hops. Quite bitter finish

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
21st December 2013
Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Smooth palate, light and crispy. Smooth dark malts, touch of coffee and a whisper of dark chocolate. Tangy dried fruits underneath. Thin light malt cream. Light piney hops, mildly spicy. Very light citrus. Finishes semi dry and crisp. A refreshing and easy drinking black ipa.

Big 75cl bottle. Appearance is deceiving. It looks like a dark beer. But it isn’t. Good full ipa. Would recommend

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at BeerTemple. Black pour with off white head. Very hoppy aroma, tame roastiness, very tropical hoppiness with light piney notes. Taste is bitter, roastiness is much more present in the taste, nice juicy hop flavor to balance however, very tasty black IPA.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with big frothy beige head, roasted malt and pine hop aroma, taste has a decent amount of piney resinous hop with some glorious roasted malts and coffee, a hint of grapefruit moderate bitterness, wonderful mouthfeel, this is one of those beers where your glad you had a 750 to yourself.
