3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 75cl, at TFODRBSG 2012. A bit, dense, dark beige head forms over a black body. The head soon diminishes into a two-finger layer of bubbles. Lightly smoked nose with roasted malts, some licorice and something indicating a little bit of sourness. When tasting, there’s a little sourness, but it’s more like something berry-like than infection. Guess it’s the malts though. Roasted, lightly smoked and with a touch of caramel and dark chocolate. Full body, quite effervescent, dryish even though it’s quite sweet on the palate. Lasting finish. A quite pleasant one. 120818

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours black with a bubbly brown head. The aroma is smoke, roasted malt, ripe fruit and brown sugar. The flavour is light smoked, light peat and some roasted malt. Way too carbonated for me.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I am a bit Biased as I love Smoked beers. Pours brown, not overly dense, and lighter around the edges. Nice fluffy tan head that left some ok lacing. Smelled of sweet smoke and some sort of amazing ham/bacon hybrid. Tastes much of the same, slightly less intense but nice and not overly heavy. Very easy drinking, medium bodied and a sweeter but still smoky finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black beer with a reddish hue. Beige head, big bubbles. Aroma of smoke, heavy smoke, gravy, bacon, light mocha. Smoky, malty flavour, light sourness, light dark bitter chocolate. Sweet smoky finish, like glazed bbq meat, smoked malts, light ash.
Nice! Quite refined, especially for such a hefty smoke aroma.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beer Festival ’12.

Opaque black beer. Very smoky nose. Neutral palate. Tangy malt but overwhelmed by very strong smoke. Much too much with smoke!
