3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a small head. Aroma is fruits, spices, sweet malts, some yeast and mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is very similar otherwise, but the alcohol is rather well-hidden.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[750ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Deep brownish amber pour. Decent, fluffy white head. Aromas of sweet, fruity malt. Quite light on the palate, the malt balance is really nice. Sweet, caramel finish. Reminds me of an English bitter or Brown Ale – except its 9%! Really hides the alcohol well

An orange beer with a fruity nose and palate. Also a nice blend with the caramel and yeasty flavours, Not bad, well balanced and quite drinkable.

2 June 2011, bottle at one of CGarvieuk’s legendary tastings! nutty amber colour, clear, no bubbles. nose is caramel and red fruit and amber ale. full body and mildly fizzy. I actually like this. it tastes better than it smells. big alcohol, cold cooked cherries, yeastiness is balanced with sweet malt. very nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice deep amber red color, clear, little smokey in the nose, or woody?
Strong aroma’s of sweet malts. The beer is sweet, alcoholic on the tongue, reminds me of Rochefortbeers. Good copy if that was the intension.
Very long aftertaste with works well with blue cheese, and salty pecorino.
