Pours dark brown with a small white head. Nose is raisins, figs, cloves, cinnamon and oak. Taste is sweet bit gives way to more bitter and finishes the same. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean. Great aftertaste.

Sampled at the DC Local Tasting a 750ml bottle pours a translucent cola brown with some wispy off white head. Nose is sweet, pitted fruit, some light spice, yeasty esters, a little banana. Flavor is sweet, lots of dark candfy sugar, a little smoke, almost like the candy sugar burnt in the bottom of the kettle, dates, malty, some light cola. Full bodied, sweet finish. Well balanced.

Bottle. Pours deep brown with thin beige head; okay retention and spare lacing. Aroma is biscuit and cookie malt, yeast, spice, and light smoke. Flavor is malty (roast and biscuit), caramel, and toffee. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

Bottle shared by GT2. Aroma is caramel, cookie, and light chocolate malt, dark fruity esters and earthy spices. Flavor is heavy malt with spices, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

750mL at the brewery thanks to Bruno! Picture coming soon! The pour is a clear, deep ruby with a thick, rocky, poofy cafe head. Nice retention and lace. Would like superb in a tulip. The aroma is floral, citrus peel, coffee, dark cherries. Taste is lightly tart, lemon, spice, meaty, full of chocolate and soft wood, dried fruits. Palate is rich, much more oily than I was expecting. Very clean. No Christmas spice nonsense. Really tastes like a very well done Abbey Quadrupel, especially at 9%. Very nice.

Bottle courtesy of Bruno at Toccalmatto, shared with tarheels86. Cloudy brown, large tan head with great retention. Aroma is slightly sour, slightly sweet, wood and vanilla. Great body, amazing complexity, no sweetness, dry finish. Delizioso!

Clear light dark brown color with a small, fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, spicy, sweet malt, light cacao, notes of licorice - star anis. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, malty, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
