"When Chase Healey from Prairie Artisan Ales came for a visit, we brewed this Brett Belgian Ale, paying homage to a world famous Trappist ale, to the legend of Matilda of Tuscany and the connection between Canossa and Orval Abbey, and Chase’s state of birth, Oklahoma. No further explanation needed, right? Only available on a limited number of bottles, starting in February."

750 ml bottle bought at Ottakringer Braukulturwochen, Vienna.
Amber, hazy body, with a big, frothy, off-white head.
Aroma of Brett, lemongrass, citrus, sweet berries, apples, some apricot, vanilla, young cheese.
Tastes of Brett, citrus, lemongrass, apples, pears, some spices, some pine, candy, slight cheese.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes dry, yeasty, sour fruity, hoppy, piney.

Very nice. Enoyable Brett aromas, pretty hoppy and very smooth. Taste could be a bit more complex though, but on the other hand really refreshing and crisp. Overall a lovely Brett ale.

Picked up at Calandro’s in Baton Rouge. Orange pour with a large white head. The aroma has a nice orange citrus character plus some brett and Belgian yeast. The flavor is similar. I get some subtle barnyard funk as well as some brett and yeast. There is also some juicy orange character. Medium mouthfeel and high carbonation.

Bottle. It poured a hazy amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of brett, some sour fruit and herbs. The taste was similar to the aroma with more sourness and a medium to heavy sweet and sour finish. It had a medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Very nice.
