shared bottle by a friend, poured a deep black colour with no head, just some bubbles on top. lot of funky brett in the nose, chocolate, red fruits, grapes, oak, red wine, toffee, caramel, bit weak carbonated, some light acid taste in the back, bit to ’funky’ for my stouts, but pretty enjoyable do

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
@ Borefts 2014.
Pour pitch black, with as good as no head.
Aroma is packed with chocolate, bitter coffee, salty licorice, some roasted malts as well.
The taste is super sweet, with a good dose of bitterness. Some "red wine tannins" with some acidic wood in the way back.
Slighly oily body, with a flat carb. A little unbalanced imo.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasting at Borefts 2014, Bodegraven Netherlands. Black body, no foam, only some soapy bubbles. Aoma is chocolatee, oak, some wine, aome unexpected spoilness )probably from the Brett). Taste was too oaky, with the sourness from the wine, some dark fruits and chocolate. Strong aftertaste. Full body with low to no carbonation. Not my thing maybe.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled @ Borefts. A bit weird beer.. thin, little body.. The begin is sour but the end sweet. Hints of red wine. Not so compelling beer.

On tap @ Borefts 2014. #21.
Body is pitch black,
Head is small, beige, mostly diminishing.
Nose is wine,
Aroma is light caramel, roasty, mild coffee, alcohol.
Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter, light alcohol sour.
Finish is medium sweet, medium roasty bitter, medium alcohol sour.
Full body, oily texture, nearly flat carbonation.
Nice roasty dessert beer, a bit too much alcohol for me.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
@ BBF 14. Pours black with a tiny brown head. Aroma of caramel, weak port notes, vanilla, dark fruits, red currants, weak funk and lots of woody red wine notes as well. Taste of chocolate, dark fruits, port, oaky woody red wine, red currants and a lot of that red wine character here as well. Very interesting!
