Far away from a RIS. Clear notes of red wine and brett. Interesting end result. A bit funky, fruity, slight roasted malts. Never tasted anything like this before. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ home ( bottle number #0062).

750ml bottle - shared by Kairi - thanks!
RIght after the pour I get a bit of soy, but the main thrust of the aroma is sherry, then dates, then red wine. Later, after it’s warmed up a bit, some alcohol does come over too. Taste is even more sherry and red-winey than the aroma. Black, but couldn’t put any head on it at all. Was in a clear glass bottle, which I dislike, but as it was shipped in a box, it’s not harmful to the beer, so not docking any points. Very full palate, sweet and almost a bit slick, but good as a sipper. Finish is back to the dates from the aroma. Utterly delicious - I went back to finish the bottle, not that there was much left.

Bottle. Thanks Massimo. No carb, rich, fruity and boozy. Great taste, rich, lovely, lots of fruit, guess from the wine. Very nice. Was a bit trashed at this stage.

Thanks to Massimo for sharing (and making) the bottle! Poured into a tulip tasters showing pitch black with a thin translucent coffee brown and no head. The nose shows very subtle notes of tomato leaf and an alcohol pungency. The palate shows a full body with no carbonation. Flavors of light coffee with slight saltiness at the finish. Interesting and different but unique to try at least once.

Pitch black color. No head at all. Mildly Brett sour nose with big black strap molasses, and dark chocolate. Very flat, lots of ash and molasses and dark chocolate with some tobacco leafs. Very nice.

Sample at ACBF 2015 with S&G tasting group. APPEARANCE: black beer, no head. NOSE: brett, vanilla, coffee, mocha, vanilla. TASTE: vanilla, very dry, brett, bit too much vanilla for me.

@ ACBF 2015. Dark brown/black colour, creamy foam. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Boozy and sweet with notes of vanilla. Light notes of brett. Ok.
