Una buona saison, con un carattere particolare, note floreali, e una bevuta piacevole e intensa.

Spina @ fob. Chiara con schiuma un po' troppo evanescente. Calda e speziata. Non di facilissima beva, però gradevole. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

750ml bottle from Tanakaya Liquor Store, Tokyo. Normally I would only have Japanese beers in Japan but as Toccalmato are hard to find at home I got a few bottles here. Hazy pale yellow, big head, beautiful bottle.yeasty lemon aroma. Wheat lemon flavour. Citrus yeast aftertaste. Not normally a saison fan but this is a good one.

750 from Yamaichi. Lemony, spicy yeast nose, slightly herbal, light, clean malts. Very pale golden color with a fine head that disappears quickly. Light and biscuity flavor, lemon, orange, grass, light and fruity. Airy, highly carbonated body, a bit gassy. Tastes decent, without any weird yeastiness that so many non-Belgian saisons can get, but it lacks character and verges on being watery.

30-NOV-2013, bottle @home, from Ølbutikken. Golden with a huge white head. Aroma is yeast and hay. Taste is yeast, hay, funk, flowers, hops, citrus. Not super-dry like a saison. High carbonation, medium body. Lovely.

Bottle @ døe meeting. Cloudy straw yellow, small white head, not a lot of lacing. Aroma, malty, brett, grain, fruity. Taste, malty, brett, bread, grainy, fruity. Too much carbonation. Slightly oily mouth feel

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2013 Something I picked up at Asahiya today. Toccalmatto’s Sibilla Saison. Bottle, 6% 1690 yen for 750ml. A new import to Japan thanks to Whisk-E. A very light cloudy gold with a light fizzy head of foam. It has a really nice Saison aroma: spicy, fruity, some funk & a bit of zest. Nice full mouthfeel but the carbonation is a touch heavy. The taste is well balanced, spice, citrus and some of that farmhouse funk. Pretty good. Trying it in a jupiler glass similar to a stange or pilsner glass... in this glass it is quite a bit fruitier, still spicy with a tad less funk. Nice.

On tap @ Atto Primo (right next to the brewery). Colore giallo dorato con riflessi ambrati, opalescente, con schiuma bianca abbastanza fine persistente. Profumo fruttato di lievito belga, di albicocche e mela matura. Spezie sicuramente presenti.
