2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Bottled, 0.75l) Hazy amber with a medium, lacy head. Grainy-worty, berryish aroma with a touch of alcohol and cardboard. Flavor of stuffy-mushy hop soup with grainy-worty malt and slightly ashy yeast. Medium body, somewhat foamy carbonation. Stuffy and homebrewish, not very good. 3535

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Old BA rate - cask BQ)
Pours a ruby red brown color that is slightly hazy; no head really to speak of given it was on cask, but there were a few minor bubbles.
Very nice hoppy aroma; floral and passion fruits; a sweeter maltiness underlying the solid hop dose in the aroma. In terms of the flavor, the hops actually showed up a little more soapy and the maltiness was a bit sourdoughy rather than sweet. Confused me pretty well. Medium body overall and completely still in terms of carbonation; little oily and slick. Overall, the hops were a bit too muted for my taste in the style. However, a pretty damn decent attempt. Drinkable, and tasty enough.

June 5th 2010. Bottle at Domus Birrae. Cloudy amber beer. Tiny white head. Dry malt, very dry - grrrr! But at least it’s fresh! Some well behaved semi sweet hops cuts through. Finishes minerally and crisp.
