3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. If this beer was a jedi, it’d be Hopi wan kenobi. Great white top and red color. Taste and palate: hops, hops and hops again. Good beer with a lot of hops, may be too many.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Murky amber/toffee colored pour. Medium-sized khaki head. Little bit of lacing. Big citrusy hop aroma. Some sugary caramel notes in the nose as well. Taste is a vegetal bitter hop presence with a small bit of malt. Carbonic bite on the back with strong bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but a bit imbalanced.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle in Belgium, probably at Hoppy Loft, Brussels. Hazy amber pour. The beer is like a hoppy amber ale. Has some nice, citrusy hops and a bit of roasty-toasty sugar. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mild bitter finish, lightly resinous with some mild toasty malts. Good beer.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Gent, Belgium 26th May 2012 consumed sat outside Frank (camper) Salzburg, Austria Friday 1st June 2012 Pours mid brown with tan head.Good soft carbonation, blisteringly hoppy from the off and a welcome hop fix after the German and Austrian hop deficient beers. Juicy in mouth but also with a very perfumed and slightly floral edge to it, though more so in mouth than on the nose. Great bitterness throughout, it is dry and furry, I love it. 14/V/2012 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ Klaas’ place - BB: 19/I/13 (2012-499) Thanks to Klaas for sharing the bottle!
Clear ruby red beer, small off-white to yellowish irregular head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: lots of sweet fruits, mainly peaches, some pineapple too, syrup. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: chocolatey start, some biscuit malts, then quite some grapefruit, grassy bitterness, citric acidity, little piny even if only slightly, and bitter hops. Aftertaste: some mocha, then very dry grassy bitter hops, still some exotic fruits, mainly pineapple, more mocha bitterness and dark chocolate lingering in the end. Almost a black IPA?

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas as part of my Pre-Wedding Celebrations. It pours deep amber, with a massive beige head. The nose is pine, resin, molasses, floral and charcoal. The taste is resin, pine, molasses, leather, chewy malt, touch of citrus, plastic, very dry and earthy, with a big bitter-dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Very dry and the balance doesn’t work for me.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
25 cl. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas: a very dark amber fox red with a huge & very creamy head, smell is mellow fruity grapefruit & berries, definitely hops but no regular hop bitterness here that you would expect from an IPA, taste is sweet with fruity grapefruit & berries, once again definitely hops but very mellowed out, aftertaste carries like the mellowest hop bitterness ever, hint mango, strong dominating presence of creamy thick malts, slight caramel, sweet herbs, very creamy & sessionable but an IPA without the harsh edge seems a bit weird to me now
