3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at beer dudes tasting at Appellation Wines Comely Bank thanks to James Tulloch.
Appearance - amber to chestnut with a thin head.
Nose - earthy and spicy with some fruit cake.
Taste - tobacco more fruit cake and candied fruit.
Palate - medium to full bodied with a dry texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - needs to be more bitter for this style I think. That said it’s a decent ESB.

Flavour of fig biscuits, sweet caramel and earth. Bitter finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel Soft fizz. A bit too sweet for my liking. Lacks hop character.
