4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Semplicemente DIVINA!!!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
75cl bottle. Dark brown, can’t see through it. medium tanned head. Nose : tart, burned caramel and a bit toffee. Distinctive citrus notes like a grapefruit or orange peel but all that mixed into a tart overall aroma. Sip ; medium body with thick and oily texture. Full body with low carbonation. It’s sweet tart background with overpowering bitterness that reminds me of a coffee where I use to like drop some lemon juice in it apart that here I would replace it with some grapefruit. The taste and body is close to Shark Pants from struise brewers. Long aftertaste makes my lips become sticky. Intensive. Must enjoy.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ZZT IV:
Creamy light tan ish head, disappears really slow on top of a deep dark hazy amber colored beer.
Doesn’t really look like a DIPA, but the long staying lovely head makes it still very nice to watch.
Smell lots of hops (duh), citrus, pine, light grape, light creamy, resin.
Taste is a pretty subtle mix of: fruity hop notes pine, citrus, mango, apricot, resin, hops, bitter, hop bitter, some creamy notes and a nice hint of malts/barley malts.
Aftertaste of hops, grass, bitter and fruit. Very good aftertaste.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, full body and a light creamy texture.
Gentle, soft and smooth!

Grassy citrus aroma. Taste grainy, grassy, citrus. Long bitter aftertaste but misses some complexity, especially in the aftertaste. Very decent italian beer dough.

15/V/2012 - 75cl bottle from Abbaye des Saveurs (Lille) @ Klaas’ place - BB: 18/VII/12 (2012-501)
Clear ruby red to red brown beer, small creamy head, beige unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty sweet, dried fruits, some caramel, forest fruit candy, sugary. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sweet, some caramel, floral, dried fruits, caramel, bit cheesy, sugary, raisins, candy. Aftertaste: sugary, candy, bitterness, dried fruits, mocha, dark chocolate. Tastes more like a barley wine than an IPA. Probably the age. Have to try a fresh one too, I think.
