(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 21 July 2012) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, orange peel and fresh floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, lemon, orange peel and fresh floral hops in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness and a generous citric bitterness. Tasty and quite well balanced. Nice one.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Goblin Pub in Pavullo nel Frignano, Italy.
Pours a cloudy golden orange color with tangerine edges and a 1.5 finger off-white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Complex hop aroma with a very nice balance of earthy and sweet fruit notes countered by a subtle pale malt presence. Grassy and resinous with straw and pine needle followed by citrus and tropical fruit. Hints of mango, pineapple and orange peel as well as some caramel malt, bread and biscuit.
On the lighter end of medium bodied with a blast of dry, sticky hops that linger over the sweeter notes into a dry finish. Spicy with grassy pine needle flavor that provides a decent amount of dry bitterness. This is nicely countered by a strong tropical/citrus fruit presence. Hints of mango, grapefruit, pineapple and orange peel provide some needed sweetness. The malt backbone is evident toward the end of the palate with just enough of a presence to provide balance without interfering with the hop flavors. Some caramel, bread and biscuit leading into a crisp, dry finish.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Ottima ipa, particolare!

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Buona IPA, particolare!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Bir&Fud
What a really refreshing ipa this is, showcasing a very good use of the sorachi ace, making this ipa as fruity and hoppy as most, though with a very different and delicious hop profile.
Body is hazy orange, with a big white lasting head.
Hoppy aroma of tropical fruit, bubblegum and mild coconut, taste is really refreshing with the coconut and pineapple blending good with malt sweetness. Long rich bitterness. An excellent beer!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
750 ml bottle. A lightly hazy pale to medium amber beer, with an average sized, frothy, very lightly lacing, mostly lasting white head. the aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread), moderately to heavily hoppy (grapefruit, grass, citrus), with notes of orange, mango, pineapple and all sort of tropical fruits. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/oily texture, average/lively carbonation, quite dry and very long finish with moderate bitterness (maybe a bit more), lightly alcoholic. Delightful, especially in the mouthfeel, which is all but sharp or scraping. Hop dominated nose (no wonder), nonetheless intriguing and exotic. One of the best Italian beers and among my favorite IPAs.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
75cl bottle. Hazy orange liquid with medium white head. Nose : Tart, grapefruit and other citrus zest notes. Sip : Low to medium density with fluffy/creamy texture. The carbonation is tingling and very soft. Sweet tart notes are overpowered by fine bitter grapefruit and pine hops. Great balance. All together it makes a very fine brew. Nice one.
