Dit was absoluut niet lekker. Cookie beer is een ander bier met speculaas en dat was een pak beter dan dit.

McWorta (660) - LUXEMBOURG - APR 27, 2014
Somewhat opalescent, deep caramel-biscuit brown colour with a lightly creamy bit beige head. Noses of almond biscuits (christmas biscuits), caramel and chocolate. Rather mild texture with a medium-full body with heavy biscuit sweetness. The finish is shorter than anticipated but also sweet.

15cl z kija na festiwalu Zythos. Mocno mętne o kolorze pomarańczowym. Śtedniej wielkości piana. Piwo od razu przypomina kruche ciasteczka speculous. Coś jak polskie pierniczki. Smak potwierdza zapach. Słodki i przyprawione. Troche parzy. Udane piwo smakowe.

Bottle: Served inna shaker: Medium sized creamy foamy head on top of a hazy red ish orange colored beer. Aromas of speculaas, gibger bread, bread, ginger, cookies and herbs... Flavours of ginger, speculaas, cookies, bread, some bitters, herbs, light dry, light spicy, some malts and light yeasty. Aftertaste is herbal, light malty, light bread, some cookies, plants and bitters. Low carbo, spicy light creamy more watery mouthfeel, medium bodied and a light creamy texture. Difficult to finish yet it’s not bad...

bottle the new coockie beer ??? pours dark amber, almost no head smell is spices . somewhere in between speculoos and coca cola good carbo bit bitter. spices, indeed going towards the speculoos . some malts shine trough aftertaste gets more towards the real ’coockie’ experience . less coockie than coockie beer, too much coockie to be beer . fun to try though !

15th Dec 2012: Essen Christmas Beer Festival, sample glass from a bottle. Brown too dark amber in colour with a lightly tanned head that refused to hang around for long. Spicy nose with some yeast in there too. A bit sweet and sticky, but interesting and different to a lot of brews on offer that day. Alcohol well hidden by the flavours and sweetness: would have liked another glass, but there were so many to try and I was on a mission to drink as many new beers as I could.
