OOO yum. Missing lots of depth but itís refreshing and harshly bitter. The caramel is really tasty blended up with the evergreens, sharp back of the mouth biting spice, rrgf, earthy, heat that isnít heat, sweeet citrus but man - that earthy spice just simply fucking rules this beatch. Maybe I was wrong on the depth - thereís shit here but itís a handful of great things squished into my bottle so I wonít confuse my love for complexity with my love for awesomeness. Iíd impregnate this bottle but Iím short on lube. Was this the Tofino beer that started the colossal shitfacing while wandering the street of Vancouver with Sean prior to my climbing of buildings and to the top of the street face of the Alibi Room? Iím not sure but even if Iím mistaken it doesnít matter cuz now Iím thinking about that tranny porn that we bought at the homeless market that sunny Sunday afternoon....

Delish. Hazy orange pour with slight head, the hops work together to create utmost balance, well rounded with long finish. A sneaky 7.5%. A great west coast IPA representitive.

Bottle to stange like glass Consummation: Bountiful C hop goodness. Adjunct: Sweet citrus and vegetal aroma, slightly hazy light amber, creamy white head.

Dark copper pour with a off white head. Citrus with alcohol on the nose. Flavor has a blend of citrus with a touch of roast malt. Finishes with a bit of hops, a bunch of malt and an alcohol burn.

Some citrus and some good malt backbone. All around well balanced. Hazy Orange pour with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Tap at the guild.

650ml brown bottle. Gold colour, light haze, head is white and thick. Aroma - citrus and grass. Taste of citrus and grass with a grainy malt base. Bitterness is average for the style. Not bad, gotta love the Ramones inspiration as well.

Decent head with a bright copper body. Okay hoppy scent but no complexity. flavour is murky hops with a hint of malt. Not bad at all, but hard to pick out of a crowd.

UXO (1350) - CANADA - AUG 6, 2015
Appearance: clear pale amber with two fingers of rocky ivory head, excellent retention and well-defined lacing. (5/5) Aroma: woody pine, floral, citrus, caramel. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (8/10) Palate: medium to full body, moderate carbonation, lingering and building bitter finish. (4/5) ďNunc est bibendumĒ indeed. The hops are all the usual starts-with-C varietals that I know and love so well. And itís such a pretty beer, with pretty much perfect colour, retention and lacing. While weíre talking appearance: the label, Iím more than halfway convinced, is a backhanded compliment to our lovely neighbours south of the border, or at least their passports - so thereís that. Bottom line? Iíll bibendum this all day long. (Hold on - ainít ďBibendum" the Michelin Manís name? Another tick in the ďproĒ column!) (16/20)

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops with light bitter notes is pleasant enough. Taste is dominated by citrusy hoppy notes with medium level of bitter notes and dry caramel malt notes with little residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Standard West Coast style IPA with quite the hops punch but maybe a tad too much bitterness for my taste.

Different label with the 7.5, bought at a liquor store in Duncan, on way back from Cascadia Poetry Festival. muscular but well-balanced aroma, like fresh lumber with lemon hints and a caramel wind, solid off white head on light orange. Flavor is also assertive but balanced, a high citrus keening with some oak under-pinnings, alcohol and honey, tart and drying in mouth. hoppy finish with warming. Had 8 beers in my trip & after, this clearly my fave.
