COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bright copper coloured pale ale with a toasty malt base balanced with west coast hops. Its light to medium body and clean, dry finish gives this full-flavoured ale dangerously inviting drinkability.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt and light grapefruit aroma. Light dark malt and grapefruit flavor. Medium bodied. Light dark malts and light grapefruit linger with light pine.

Much darker and malt forward than anticipated. Quite simple and refreshing with medium carbonation and low bitterness. Simple.

Appearance: clear medium amber with two fingers of growing rocky light beige head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Aroma: caramel, nutty, toast, apples. (6/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate-low bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, short duration finish. (3/5) Not bad, but not what I was expecting at all. More like an ESB, really, than an APA. Certainly darker and maltier than I prefer APA’s. (12/20)

650ml brown bottle. Unclear amber-orange coloured brew with a beige cap, creamy bead. Nose has fruity malts, caramel, light floral and citrus. Taste has nutty malt, caramel, toasty, light citrus. Low bitterness. Body is light with light carboantion. Not really what I was expecting, but seeing this listed as an APA makes a bit more sense I guess.

Heavy carbonation in a darker gold body and minimal head. Malty aroma that seems cheap, no complexity. Flavour is malty hazelnut with a dry hoppy finish. Nothing to see here, move along.

Nice APA! Has a sweet nose of toasted malts and hops. Flavour follows through, nice balance betwee toasted malts and midly fruity hops. Has an almost sweet note of honey.

Bottle. Dark Amber, low lace. Light fruity (apple, pear) , some caramel, sparkly, light grassy and citric hops, a bit salt. Medium body, mellow, light chewy. Pleasant.

It was okay, not great. Not an award winner. I’d probably not buy it again.
