1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Clear deep amber beer with white frothy head. Stale nose of hops and peppermint. Thin watery taste with cream, pepper and metal. No finish, just a residual staleness. Truly rubbish.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours clear amber, some off white head. Aroma is sweet and musty. Rather sweet and vegetal. Heavier than usual body for an English bitter. This is ok for a low-alcohol beer, but really suffers from not having a bit more fermentation.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Dark amber with thin white head. Crisp, fresh aroma with a bit of citrus. Quite sweet and sticky, and yet also very hoppy/vegetal. Lacks the usual mineral notes of an English ale.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: Clear copper amber with finger thick white head.
Aroma: Fruity, malty, light caramel, subtle pineapple.
Taste: Medium bitterness, low/medium sweetness and low sourness.
Palate: Medium thick coarse texture and body, average carbonation, abrupt fruity, malty and peppery finish.
Comments: Ok but lacking in flavour and aroma, however, based on its low ABV its not bad.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from Morrisons. Poured a clear copper colour, with a thin white head and visible force carbonation. Aroma of malt, CO2 and boiled sweets. Cream soda flavours and all the usual things one might expect from a pasteurised Greene King effort; really sweet, with a very artificial note and some grassy bitterness lingering in the background. This becomes quite metallic towards the end and leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It’s NOT bad! It’s an English beer, for Christ’s sake, and with low alcohol content. Nice and malty, honeyish, and a touch of biscuits. Sweet, as all bitters.
