1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - DEC 6, 2007
2.5l plastic bottle; didn’t know that that existed, but apparently it does in Russia, where a friend picked this up for me while on vacation. Clear honey amber with a thin white head that collapses almost instantly, except on the first pour which got a little out of control because, well, you try getting a proper pour out of a flimsy 2.5 liter plastic bottle. Works better with two people. Slightly sweet aroma with some harsh alcohol notes despite its moderate strength. The flavor is pretty grainy and a little sweet. No hops to speak of, and a mostly watery finish, maybe some cardboard. Very bland overall. I’m not sure how I finished this with only one other person, but I honestly never want to see this beer again.

Bottled 0,50L.
Medium compact foam, enough persistent. Shining yellow color, luminous and bubbly. Inconsistent and lean scent; watery and light malty notes. Little perceivable alcohol, modest bitter. Short and watery end.

An orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of oranges. The flavor is plain malty and boring, while the body is thin.

Light bronze colour with large bubbles and a big head. Aroma of honeydew, salmonberries. Flavour is somewhat bubblegummy, though with a solid pale malt background. Sweetish, similarly phenolic finish. Just strange.

Thin frothy head, golden color. Just a slight grainy aroma, even a bit oily. Medium to full bodied. Grainy flavor with no hopbitterness, maybe just a hint of orange tartness. Bland, with a bit nasty aftertaste.

Golden color. No darn taste. No darn bitterness. BUT - a dry bitterness. Pleasant to drink though, it has got to be the circumstances....whatever they were...
