Amber with a small off-white head. Aromas are light toasty malts with soft citrus and spices. Flavours are biscuit malts with mellow lemon. Quite dry with a light hopped finish. Magic_dave6 (3536), London, England Dec 14, 2007 Counting house. Aroma is grassy and biscuity pale malts, but roasted slight richer ones are there too. Taste is more of the roast malts, lightly spicey tarter fruits, grassy bitter finish. Mes_and_Sim (3967), London, Greater London, England Dec 12, 2007 A Mes rate: Cask at Baker St. ’Spoons. Clean dark gold with a very stable white head. Roasted malt, treacle and lots of bread. Some wheaty notes. Nothing special but nice to find a light drinkable Christmas Beer for once. chris_o (4393), London, Greater London, England Dec 5, 2005 Cask (handpump) at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria, London. A copper coloured, fruity session bitter with some malty accents and plenty of flavour for the strength. Restraned hops. Finishes moderately bitter. A quite nice beer, but not exactly yer usual Christmas fare.
