Cask (Metropolitan, London)
Rich brown, loose head. Full bodied - plenty of both malts and noble hops. Slightly earthy, slightly nutty. Solid English bitter.

Cask, Market Porter, 17/5/08. Dark copper coloured with a fruity nose, mostly sweet toffee malt and a little hop aroma. Not a lot going on.

Cask conditioned. Brown coloured. Fruity, malty and slightly nutty in the aroma. Sweetish malt flavour. Some bitterness in the finish.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Faint malt aroma. Fruit (Seville orange, perhaps) and malt taste. Peppery mid bitter finish. Not bad.

Cask handpull at Crosse Keys JDW, London. Deep copper in colour with thin beige head. Earthy citric hop aroma. Good malts in mouth, which take on the darkish side. Finish crries on this grapefruit/lemon hop trend with a mix of choc. Never gets sweet though. Really accomplished bitter
