Cask conditioned at The Bell, Hampton Poyle, Oxon 16-07-06. Dark golden in colour with small barely noticeable white head. Found this to be a really refreshing summer beer, kept in superb condition and served at just the right temperature, nice maltiness and good level of bitterness little bit sweet but not unduly so. I was convinced this said 3.6% or 3.8% on the pump clip but it definately said Tom Woods summer (summat) and a quick check on their website confirms this as their seasonal beer, although this didn’t taste or look like a lager style beer.

Cask handpump at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Golden/orange coloured with good white head. Sweet aroma. Sweet taste, some citrus, some malt; all round pretty good.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] An orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet flowery combined with notes of caramel. The flavor is cast flat with a stinging metal note being most dominant, but it also has notes of flowers and a weird hop sort - is it Goldings? the end is dry and flowery.

[Cask conditioned] Golden coloured. Weak aroma. Sweet flavour with buttery notes. Not refreshing at all. Rather thin.
