My bottle was round and squatty with Japanese writing on the front...Still pretty unfamiliar with sakes but here goes...looks almost clear, a slight pale lemon hue...slow clear legs drip on the side of the glass...can’t smell much...just some cantaloupe and sweet rice, similar to a rice pudding minus the pudding...a thickness to the body--a bite to it, zingy, yet quite smooth and light...I like it...a bit of alcohol in the finish...very easy to drink..$18.99 for a 750 ml bottle...served chilled and room temperature

Bottle @ IslandHaole’s: Light yellow color with a bit of legs, the nose is floral, light fruity notes but more dusty and dry with some koji and rice. Some light koji and alcohol flavor, bright alcohol and anise, very little fruit and a moderately dry impact. Some crisp toasted rice notes in the finish, but it’s not that impressive for the style.

An aromatic sake with cedar notes and a dry woody flavor. This is what I’d expect from the Kyoto region. Has a nice feel to it. Rather light feeling for the style but enjoyable for sure. Quite pleasant, and being the bottles were small 330 ml, I had two :-)
