Croatian Royal Beer.
Tomislav, made with 17.75% malt extract, is the strongest beer in Croatia, introduced in 1925. The use of double malted barley gives this dark lager its full taste and special aroma, much appreciated by connoisseurs. Tomislav pivo has an alcohol content of 7.3% vol, and should be served at 8° C.

Impossible to say anything positive about this beer. Made rather by a group of chemists. Clearly perceptible alcohol in throat.

Dark brown color with medium head. Aromas of chocolate-coffe, rye, caramel and roast. Taste is similar to aroma with medium, but smooth sourness and bitterness at the end. Medium-bodied and a bit spicy palate. Enjoyable beer. For me, the best Croatian porter so far.

From 0.5 L bottle, pours clear and dark brown, nearly black with a small light-brown head. Aroma: dark bread, slightly hoppy. Taste: Heavy malty with dark malts, bread and slightly coffee. Slightly sweet aftertaste. Medium body, average carbonation, normal consistence.

Great discovery during my 2016 Croatia vacations. Sparklingly ruby dark color, pleasant malty-chocolate aroma and soft and bitter-sweet palate makes it very drinkable. Real beer; soft but strong and you’ll feel it ... 😜

Pours almost entirely black, with a dark brown rim to it and a mocha colored, soon disappating head. Smells of cardboard, toffee and bakers chocolate, tied together by a whiff of earth. Has a lower carbonation with enough swing to keep the beer refreshing on the tongue, which lets the palate open up to a profound, silk earthiness right from the beginning. Tastes of dark chocolate, wrapped up by scented earth a metallic minerality and toffee, which create a beautiful and pungent interplay. Develops a nice dryness, with the rich malts prevailing, reminding of old leaves, with only the slightest malt sweetness cutting through, adding to the ever evolving flavor profile of this. Great tasting beer, showcasing a perfect balanced interplay between licorice, earth and toffee, which stays enjoyable till the end.

Pours dark ruby, almost black color with creamy beige head that leaves some lacing. Smell is biscuity with notes of caramel and a bit of chocolate in the background. Very slightly roasted. Thin to medium body with very subtle carbonation. Texture is nice, starts off as watery but turns into creamy soon enough. Taste is bittersweet with alcohol presence towards the finish. Aroma of malts, caramel, toffee and biscuits. Faint notes of chocolate. Aftertaste is a bit liquory, which is nice. Overall, very good. Tasty one.
