Bottle (500ml, in Split, Croatia):
Dark roasted malts to start along with some sugar and good, earthy hops following this. There is a nutty aroma up next and a rich almost chocolate like smell towards the end. Some mild caramel and a hint of grain and alcohol.
Dark brown colour to black. Light brown, bubbly head about two fingers width high and with good retention. Thumb sized before reducing by half.
Earthy malts, chocolate & a subtle alcohol kick and and nutty, sugar infused taste and a little burnt sugar behind this too, with a hint of caramel.
Medium body with good carbonation without overdoing it. There is a touch of fizz and a good lingering malty aftertaste that is back up by a slight bit of bitterness and goes down very well.

Definitely the best of the Croatian beers I tried whilst in the country, this beer was wonderfully made. A great beer and one I’d love to try again at some point in the future.

Excellent, full and strong taste, a bit on the sweet side but compensates wonderfully with strength and a rather special effect upon the mind.
