COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Croatian Royal Beer.
Tomislav, made with 17.75% malt extract, is the strongest beer in Croatia, introduced in 1925. The use of double malted barley gives this dark lager its full taste and special aroma, much appreciated by connoisseurs. Tomislav pivo has an alcohol content of 7.3% vol, and should be served at 8į C.

Decent lightweight baltic porter from Croatia. Nice appearance taste and aroma, not intense though. Not outstanding but I cannot say anything bad about it.

On tap in Vintage Bar in Zagreb. Donít like this beer. After second glass it leave bad taste in throat. Most overrated beer in Croatia.

Despite recently being dethroned by Zmajska as the best rated beer in the country, Tomislav is still the undisputed king of the macro produced brews. I simply canít think of a (non craft) beer that would come close second to this one. Black head, aroma of roasted malts and alcohol coming through. A bit of sweetness, caramel, coffee, all leading to a bitterish finish. This is definitely the booziest beer made in Croatia and itís not for the faint hearted. If you can handle it, this is the mix of fastest, cheapest and most beer geek approved way of...getting drunk.

Without a doubt one of the best beers in Croatia! Very drinking notwithstanding a rather high degree of alcohol.

0,5l bottle. Dark brown color, with creamy tan head. Roasted malt and caramel aroma, medium bitter, alcohol notes and dry finnish. Overall a good beer.

Alcohol character too prevalent. A bit too sweet as well. Not so well balanced and definitely not a session beer. Otherwise, though, itís pretty good. I donít think this was any kind of attempt at a Baltic Porter. Itís just a strong and dark lager. Perhaps the best of the mega corporate beers in Croatia but still falls short of being a great beer. Still, when at a bar with a limited selection of beers in Croatia, this is often available and is worth trying.

Bottle 0,5l. Dark liquid, average beige not very steady head. Medium body and carbonation. Roasty taste, a bit too sweet, almost too much. Not bad but cannot drink to much.

Dark with tan head and roasty aroma. Not the most intense Baltic Porter Iíve tried but that does tend to enhance its drinkability. Reasonably bitter finish. Nice.

black, hazy, medium tanned foam; sweet, caramelly, chocolateish, roasty aroma with some alcohol; medium sweetness, medium(-) bitterness; rather full bodied, thick, slightly oily feel, average carbonation, little bit alcoholic bitter finish; Overall: very nice beer, alcohol a bit too noticeable
