Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is mostly licorice with some fruit and roasted malts. The taste adds some nut to licorice and roastiness. Palate is enjoyable, a slightly oily texture with some carbonation. Alcohol is nicely balanced. The taste is missing something, maybe that bit of sweetness that were present in the aroma? If I come across Tomislav Crno Pivo again, I’ll surely give it another try!

Nice light brown, rapidly diminishing foam. A little hard roasted malt is only aroma. The taste is good and rich, varying the roasted malt, light coffee tones and a good dose of mild licorice. It is not as heavy as porting of Baltic origin sometime haves, taste resembles the good London porter. The alcohol is, however, on the high side (7.3%), leaving a slight warming sensation in the throat. It is a very delicious and delicate porter who definitely lives up to what I would expect from such. It leaves delicate lace in the glass, but does not so thick and bold in flavor. It is an extremely well-brewed porter who deserves great attention.

From bottle with TO at Savaska 14 (Krivi Put) in Zagreb 08.10.15. Dark brown. Pale brown head and lacing. Dark caramel, dark syrup and malt in aroma and taste. Also a hint of dark berries. Balanced by moderate bitterness. Very quaffable.
