COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800’s with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

12 oz bottle pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malts, grass and a hint of citrus. Taste is sweet malt and just a hint of citrus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pours a slightly hazy orange with a full white head. Full malty aroma. Taste is semi-sweet pils malts and a slight hoppiness on the finish. Crisp and refreshing, but the taste is uninteresting.

Pours a light golden orange with a nice off-white head. Grainy aroma with subtle notes of citrus. Nicely malty up front with an aged note to it. Bitterness is not overbearing and the palette is average, as I like them to be more on the dry side. Not bad. I could get a six pack if I had the opportunity and couldn’t find anything else. Also noted... I picked this up at Country Garden 6-pack along with some good Pork Lo Mein.

Clear golden with a spicy saaz leafiness with a pale pilsner malt aroma. Kinda faint smelling overall. Flavor was light and pilsner-y, with some light saaz pepperiness and light pilsner grainy maltiness. Light bodied but at least tastes the way it’s supposed to.

Not impressive or distinct. Faint malty smell. Clear golden color with fizzy head. A step above macro brews but not by much. Average carbonation with grassy and malty taste but nothing notable. Not many flavors here. It stayed true to the style but doesn’t separate itself from the masses. Easy to drink and should go well with most bar foods.

August 26th, 2010 - Tommyknocker has borrowed from Coors’ marketing department to pitch their Glacier pilsner, evoking the images of sparkling clean snowcapped mountains to draw parallels to their crisp and clean pilsner. Sadly, the analogy doesn’t hold up. While Tommyknocker’s darker brunettes seem to be solid drinks, the lighter stuff is less appealing, and the Glacier tops this ignominious list. Bitter, flavorless and slightly skunky, this pils has little to recommend it, and should be left in the bottle in favor of Tommyknockers’ better brews.

I normally don't like Pilsners because they either have a skunky or sweet taste. This pilsner has a good amount of hop flavor while still being balanced by the pilsner malt backbone. Hint of apple cider at the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well, it is what it is. Pilsner isn’t my favorite style, and this one certainly doesn’t rock my world. What a funny little aftertaste!

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a gold hue an an off-white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma is musty with grains and grass that is backed by a bit of crispness. Flavor is grassy up front with a musty grain backing. Nothing special.
