Draft at the brewpub. Pours very dark brown with a thick, creamy tan head. Tastes like nutty malt, chocolate, dark coffee, very roasted. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like nutty roasted malt, dark chocolate, and dark coffee.

Draught @ Tommyknocker, Helsinki. Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and some raisins. Flavour of roastiness, quite awful red berry sourness, grass and licorice. Light bodied. Not good.

Draught @ Tommyknocker, Helsinki

Pours pitch black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, licorice, hints of berries and syrup. Taste is smooth, syrupy and slightly roasty with some hints of berries, coffee and licorice. Finish is roasty, syrupy and sweetish with hints of berries. A bit too much berries here.

Slightly pooey enteric liquorice and soy aroma. Yup, that soy was no hallucination - it’s even salty. Fizzy watery palate. Oh, come on, this is why I call "craft" beer "kraft" beer. This is just a shit macro stout. There’s some roast, but no esters, no life, no stout. Just burtn malt juice, an insult to the style. Really getting to dislike US kraft brews this evening. Scarily, this was the 2nd best out of the 4 tommyknockers we had, there was even more poop in some of the others.

Tap @Tommyknocker. Dark brown color. Small size, brown head, stays. Sourish, roast, diacetyl, sweet, chocolate and vinegar in aroma. Roasted malts, chocolate and some berry-like taste. Black currant and dark chocolate in aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel. This one is slightly off.

Draught at the Tommyknocker, Helsinki, Finland. Black colour with a small greyish brown colour head. Roasted malt, dryness, ash and some hops in the aroma. Dry roasted malt, nuts and some hops in the flavour. Not bad. A bit uninspiring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of slight roast, caramel, touch of slight coffee bean into a bit of oats, slight earthy, spicy notes as well. Taste was a mix of grass, earth, cocoa, slight roasted malt into a bit of caramel, coffee into a bit of grass, finishing slightly roasted.
