Hmm, very nice roasty aroma but it pours flat w/ no head. The taste is very thin on the palate w/ no stout characteristics coming through. Disappointing!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice, really smooth stout. Not too sweet, but with a rich chocolatey character. Tried at the brewery in 2014.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery. Black with a thin, lingering, light brown head. Aroma of oats, milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and caramel. Similar flavor, smooth, sweet and creamy.

Creamy milky and chocolate taste. Good smooth stout. Nothing crazy unique about it but would have again

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft pour at Tommyknocker in Idaho Springs, CO. Pours black with a thick khaki finger head that won't die. Hard to get an aroma but I detect fair roast as some chocolate. Flavor is very light for a stout with chocolate, malt, and a mild roasty finish. Slick mouthfeel. Not what I expected from a "stout", more like a mild porter. Okay but not very good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pitch black with a lasting foamy khaki head. Nice full nose of roasted malts, cocoa, dry oatmeal and just a hint of ground store-brand-coffee. Good full flavor of roasted chocolate malts, light coffee tones, slightly burnt toast, dry caramel, and a wee hint of cocoa throughout.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a tan head that lingers. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, and oats. Roasty taste, of toasted malt, wood, oatmeal, a caramel sweetness, and a bit of a more bitter cocoa finish. Lingering bitter roastiness. Nice sweet oatmeal stout.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at bottles 101. Pours oil black with a virtually no head. Aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla, and espresso. Tastes of some nice chocolate malt sweetness with a nice espresso finish. This is an oatmeal stout? I don't get it. A nice beer but I feel the style might be labeled wrong. Give it a try but I don't think this is true to the style.
