Bottle. Pours a deep black with a huge bubbly off-white head that lingers. Aroma of toasted malt, chocolate, wood, grass. Taste is week, of dark chocolate, toasted malt, brown sugar. Lingering chocolate malt that ends watery. Nice nose, but the taste doesn’t match.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle). Mild aroma includes some light cocoa and well roasted malts. Minimal head and very light body. The flavor has lots of roasted malt with some bitter-sweet cocoa flavor inserted. Please note, the artwork has changed on the label and the name "winter warmer" is now replaced with seasonal ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I think this beer tastes pretty good... Its a little light for a porter, but the flavor is pretty legit. Color is molasses with light tan head. Easy drinking for the cold months

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle split at Christine and Daves thanks to DLJ, 26/11/13.
Dark mahogony brown with a moderate tan covering that clears to a pond.
Nose is brown sugars, earthy cocoa, honey roast nuts, milk chocolate.
Taste comprises earthy cocoa, light metallic, dark toffee fudge, brown sugar, rather on the thin side and a step down from the aroma.
Medium body, moderate carbonation, a little watery, dry light roast tones in the finish.
So so porter lacking any real depth of flavour.

Pours a very dark brown with a short white head which is gone quickly. Aroma of coffee and pine (odd combination). Taste is thin, odd, weak coffee, taste tales off into cardboard. A bit unpleasant.
