Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Inky dark brew with small tan head. Aroma of burnt malt, cocoa, coffee. Taste is sweet malts, maybe a little honey, at the start transitioning to a burnt malt / black cocoa / modest hops finish. Great dark chocolate overtones int he finish - just overtones, not like a glass of Quick or something. Overall, this is very good.

A very drinkable beer whose flavor does not overpower the rest of the meal. The cocoa flavor is mild, complimenting the porter base. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Wegmans. Pours black with a small tan film. The aroma has some cocoa, a slight lactic quality. The taste is medium cocoa but not overly flavorful.

A black color with a small tan head and a small amount of lacing. The aroma has a lot of cocoa and toasted malt. The flavor has the cocoa and toasted malt with the honey showing up in the aftertaste. -Fish!

yikes, where did this one come from? don’t even remember getting this, so let’s call it ’aged’. Anyway, pours near black with a small tan head that settles into a ring very quickly - sediment-filled body. Aroma is, well, cocoa, chocolate and more cocoa - very sweet and almost Nestle Quik like - definitely one-dimensional, but the dimension is fun and pleasant. Flavor doesn’t live up to the aroma though - thin chocolate, hint of caramel malts - but its overall very shallow...blah. Palate is similarly thin and wimpy. Not a particularly good beer, though there really is nothing ’offensive’ in this brew either...

12oz bottle. Dark Brown pour. Roasty chocolate nose with some nut aromas. Weak flavors are the same, but it tastes watered down. No off flavors, but nothing special

From the bottle. Black pour with a small tan head. Aroma of roast and chocolate with a little sweetness from the honey. Taste is a little chcoolate with some roast and a little molasses. Not bad.

Obvious cocoa taste very mildly with a decent carbonation to it. Lose some of the quality on the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
