3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like mild chili peppers, vegetable, and bready malt. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like chili pepper, vegetable, and bready malt.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. I don’t understand the low averages for this unique beer which was refreshing and just enough spicy for my tastes.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Filtered tan body, thin patchy off-white head. Nice green vegetal chili pepper aroma. They really succeeded in incorporating the chili pepper taste into a clean, easy drinking, refreshing lager. Kind of nails it in that regard. For me though, I would have liked to see more chili tones. I am almost searching for them. I could drink a few of these. Pretty solid offering overall.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle (BB Aug 2015).
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), with notes of green vegetables (peppers, beans, peas) and soap.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, husky, unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately burning.
A typical thoughtless rendition meant for mindless swilling, much like the infamous Cave Creek version...a poor base beer with a lot of vegetable odor added, who could ask for more?

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. Amazing aromas of anaheim chiles! Initial taste of a lager with the middle taste of chiles, nice and spicy but not overly spicy. I have had a couple of chile beers this one is by far the best!

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From a bottle this has a green veggie aroma. Perhaps like asparagus. Taste is surprisingly not as bad as I thought it would be. Actually not a bad tasting beer but was hoping for a little more heat, yes, a little more heat would make it more interesting. Sometimes that not hot pepper thing is a little annoying but overall not bad.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle from Wegman’s Collegeville. Hazy gold pour with white head. Nose is heavy jalapeno pepper, some hopcitrus. Tastes of liquid jalapenos, mild hops, citrus, not very good, but would be great as a marinade.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle at home. Aroma is green chilies and some malt. Flavor follows. Odd flavor and isn't pleasant in a beer. Just tastes like a cheap macro lager with chilies. That's all.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
It’s an ok version of a green chile beer... may be better using a hatch New Mexico green chile instead. Would like a little heat as well.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
7/12/14 $2.79 bottle from CBO. 3rd beer drank at street BBQ. No peppers on the nose but it was definitely there on the taste. Quick burst of green chilli (not spicy at all) but the taste quickly disappeared.
