4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is easily one of the best Tommyknocker beers Iíve had. For a Black IPA, its about middle of the road. Nice roasted aroma, some astringency at the end but mostly a pleasant grass aroma and pine flavor.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark mahogany, with a beige head.
Roasted, nutty aroma, chocolate, hops, coffee, toffee.
Off-dry, medium to full bodied, mid to high bitterness, balanced CO2.
Roasted, nutty taste, quite hoppy, chocolate, toffee, spruce, earth.
More like a well hopped porter, than a proper BIPA. Enjoyable, even so. (2013-04-22)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was a nice solid black IPA. Really enjoyed the thickness and the aromatics. Lots of bitter on the tongue.
