Pours brown, with little head. Aroma is very sweet caramel. Taste is sweet syrup which hides the alcohol pretty well. Light sticky finish.

Pours a dark, somewhat transparent cola-brown with a very thick and rather persistent light tan head. Strong, malty aroma has an overtone of molasses and a hint of maple syrup. Malty flavor has a sweet, syrupy overtone and woody, nutty and caramel notes. It is on the sweet side with very little hop bitterness, but still pleasing and tasty. Firm, smooth texture has just a little fizz, but you feel it going down the pipes. Overall, a worthy brew.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 SPDickerman (699) - Texas, USA - FEB 27, 2012
Pours ruby red with tiny off-white fizz. Smells malty, sweetness, like chocolate and hints of maple syrup, with a solid hop balance. Taste is sweet, a little cloying from the maple syrup I think, with some bitterness. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Tommyknocker Imperial Nut Brown Ale finishes with a bit of cloying sweetness.

Excellent brown ale. The beer pours a very dark brown color with very little head. There isn’t much lacing around the glass, either. The nose is very sweet and malty, with some light hop and whiskey notes. The body is fairly thick for a brown ale, but still very drinkable. The flavors are strong, with lots of sweet and malty notes, with caramel, alcohol, earth and nuts. The finish is also sweet, and more alcohol shows through in the aftertaste.

Pours a very dark brown with a thin tan head. Leaves decent lacing. Aroma is butter, brown sugar, and some alcohol. Taste is super sweet and then the alcohol comes in. Syrupy on the palate.
