COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

On draft. Sweeter aromas than I’d have expected. Toffee, a touch of roasted malt, some milk chocolate and caramel. Really dark brown with an off-white head. Sweeter taste than I’d have expected from an imperial brown ale. A bit of alcohol, toffee, pecans, and brown sugar. I wish this one had more body or less alcohol. As it is, it’s a bit off-balance.

This ale is distinguished by the maple syrup taste. It is dark brown with a small head. The hops are balanced by the malt flavors. I don’t appreciate the syrup taste, it has a taste that needs getting used to. Overall, however, it is a good brown ale.

Bottle from Wegmans. Pours hazy brown with red around the edges of the glass, no head. The aroma has roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, a bit of something off though. The taste has light chocolate, is a bit roasty, lightly bitter but overly boozy. It really detracts from the taste.

Knäckig smak med växande beska i munnen. En rostad maltighet hänger kvar i gommen tillsammans med russinsötma.

One of the better nut brown ales I have had. Really flavorful super hoppy with a malty finish. Smells malty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Clear brown pour, very red actually, quite pretty. Aroma is quite nutty, well done there, molasses notes, fruity and a tad boozy. Taste of rich caramel malts, nutty, kind of reminiscent of a Belgian quad. Heavy body, low carbonation. Nice sipper.
