Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

Wow, darn good beer. Very smooth mouthfeel with extremely well hidden alcohol. I get a lot of caramel and chocolate flavors. Very drinkable. I would guess this is more around 6-7% alochol.

Bottle (650ml) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a very deep ruby-orange with a small diminishing off-white head. Mild aroma of malt, nuts and light green hops. Flavour’s sweet, malty and musty along with some very light hops, nuts and alcohol. Average bodied. Disappointing, it’s O.K. but I expected better.

Alcohol was well hidden, but that was about the only memorable thing about it. Very sweet, but no flavors that jump out. Just blah.

Pours a dark mahogany with a fast disappearing tan head. Nutty, caramel, maple aroma. Tastes a much stronger version of its little brother, Maple Nut Brown ale. Definitely picked up the alcohol taste more so in this version. Still pretty tasty but would not drink more than about 1 or 2 of these in one sitting due to the sweetness and the alcohol.
