COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

Dark red-black in color. Dark malt aromas, Intense bacon fat flavors, with toasty sweet notes of brown sugar and molasses. Great heavy style ale.

Bottle from Tivoli in Helsingborg. Smell of hazelnuts and roasted malts. Pours a dark amber colour with a medium beige head. Taste of roasted malts and some chocolates. Palate is somewhat thin but enough to be decent. Overall an okay beer but no best seller.

Bottle to Nonic pint. Aroma is maple and alcohol. Sweet as well. Taste is very sweet, maple, toasted nut. Finishes oily and slick. Slight warmth. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, earthy notes, a burnt character, this one seems to miss the mark for me.

Ruby brown in color with good light tan head, good lacing, and a thick collar. Aroma is dark molasses, nutty and earthy. Taste follows pretty much identically. Mild hop bitterness in this one. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Definitely my favorite of the three beers I had at the brewery.

Great taste, and one of my favorite celebration beers. I think it’s a must-have at any party, and it pairs well with hamburgers or steak.

Had this on draft at tommyknocker brewpub. Dark brown with white head. Strong beer - can taste the booze. Nutty and malty flavor. Good

On draft. Sweeter aromas than I’d have expected. Toffee, a touch of roasted malt, some milk chocolate and caramel. Really dark brown with an off-white head. Sweeter taste than I’d have expected from an imperial brown ale. A bit of alcohol, toffee, pecans, and brown sugar. I wish this one had more body or less alcohol. As it is, it’s a bit off-balance.

This ale is distinguished by the maple syrup taste. It is dark brown with a small head. The hops are balanced by the malt flavors. I don’t appreciate the syrup taste, it has a taste that needs getting used to. Overall, however, it is a good brown ale.

Draught at 3smårum Dark brown with a beige head. Sweet, vinous aroma. Sweet fruits in the flavour. Medium bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel.
