COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Dark reddish brown ale with virtually no head. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Taste is sweet malt, chocolate, roasted grains, sweet from start through finish. A little boozey warming at then end. If you are in the mood for a sweet and strong brew, this is a good one.

Nice. Dark sugars, roasted malts, bitter chocolate, a bit of coffee, some back sweetness, bourbon notes, alcohol warmth. The abv is evident and the hops are a pleasant additive to a big brown ale. Dark brown with next to no head. Good stuff.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2014 Bottle @ The Butcher’s Block, Sarasota, FL A nice, nutty, mildly roasted stout-tasting ale, though quite malty and not bitter at all. A hint of dark chocolate and fruits on the palate. Sticky sweet on the finish, but very well balanced. Refreshing.

"Not very nutty, pretty much the same as the maple nut minus the sweetness and adding in a little alcohol burn. Dark roast, a little fruitiness. A little on the generic side, but not bad..."

Bottle from Tivoli in Helsingborg. Smell of hazelnuts and roasted malts. Pours a dark amber colour with a medium beige head. Taste of roasted malts and some chocolates. Palate is somewhat thin but enough to be decent. Overall an okay beer but no best seller.

Bottle to Nonic pint. Aroma is maple and alcohol. Sweet as well. Taste is very sweet, maple, toasted nut. Finishes oily and slick. Slight warmth. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, earthy notes, a burnt character, this one seems to miss the mark for me.

Ruby brown in color with good light tan head, good lacing, and a thick collar. Aroma is dark molasses, nutty and earthy. Taste follows pretty much identically. Mild hop bitterness in this one. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Definitely my favorite of the three beers I had at the brewery.

Sticky sweet. Burgundy pour w/ no head. Aroma is slightly faint. Taste is caramel ish w/out much else going on. Decent for the abv.
