SHIG (1331), Oberoffligen, Germany May 19, 2008 Bottle: Poured a hazy orange amber with loads of carbonation, the head was thin and white. The aroma is citrus and wheat/yeasty. The taste was somewhat bland wheat with some citrus. agillespie81 (61), Denver, Colorado, USA May 17, 2008 Deep golden color......very hazy......almost completely opaque. Thin head......fresh, slightly citrus aroma. Sweet citrus notes dominate the front......slightly crisp mouthfeel. Somewhat of a malt back that finishes clean. CaptBier (204), Birmingham, Alabama, USA May 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden with thin white head. Aroma is of citrus and lemongrass, much like the taste. Some lingering wheat flavor, but all in all pretty thin. blindeyedbetty (82), Arlington, Virginia, USA May 12, 2008 12 oz. bottle pours dark yellowish gold with lots of internal carbonation but no head. Not opaque as I’d expected for an unfiltered beer. Mild aroma of corn and wheat. Flavor is of mild lemongrass perhaps with a finish of yeast and hops. Perhaps it is my untrained palate but this is a poor example of an unfiltered wheat ale with little to no flavor at all. Linus_Stick (1354), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 9, 2008 A so so wheat ale. Aroma was a weak mix of lemon and yeast. Pour was a nice deep gold with a two finger white head. Taste was a little sweet for a wheat ale. A little citrus in the aftertaste and not much in the front. Medium carbonation and slightly heavier mouthfeel than I care for for a wheat. Very middle of the road.
