Veeve (312), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Mar 24, 2007 on tap at Finnegan’s Wake, the local Irish bar in W-S. it was not exactly what I wanted on a chilly, still winter, not quite yet spring evening, so i was disinclined to be satisfied from the start but someone bought it for me, so who is complaining? that’s what I said. poured a cloudy amber hue with a minimal but slightly fluffy white head that dissipates. tastes a lot like Blue Moon, even more like Hoegaarden, but not quite the staple that either of those wheat beers are. the aroma was significantly better than the taste that followed it. like a big breath of fresh outdoor air, in a wheat field. cliche yes? joking? no. dirt, grass, hay, wheat, lemon and a touch of honey. very very fresh. tasted ok. definetely fresh. hay and wheat. lots of lemon. probably too much lemon. particularly at the end. some hints of yeast and cloves. I was dissapointed by the T-Knocker. introduced to the brewer at the Brewgrass festival in Ashville in Oct. 05 and liked them. oh well. hot day and its around, drink it. I wouldn’t seek it out.
unclemike (380), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Oct 3, 2008 This beer pours gold with a slight chill haze that fades as it warms up. The aroma is apparently devoid of all hop aroma. Slight maltiness, vague fruitiness (almost like the dried rasberry aroma from the raspberry black tea my wife drinks.) Not bad, but infinitely forgettable oh6gdx (6343), Vaasa, Finland Sep 29, 2008 Bottled@SBWF2008. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wheat, fudge, caramel and some mild hints of hops. Flavour is hops, fruits, wheat and some grassy notes. Refreshing. Neematoad (61), , Illinois, USA Sep 27, 2008 A golden pour with a tiny head. Has a citrusy taste with a dry taste of wheat thats just barely there. Has a bit of a bite and sweet finish. omhper (10730), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 25, 2008 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival.
