COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

WTF? So I bought the Tommyknocker sampler and all SUCKED, minus maybe the dopplebock. This one looks bad, orange. Theres almost no aroma, maybe cookies? The taste is all lemon-grass with a little wheat. Are there any hops here? I understand being unfiltered, but WTF are these little black grains in my glass? Black? Fuk Tommyknocker!

This beer was from a bottle. It has a thin head that leaves a thin lace in the glass. Nice fruity aroma with a citrus finish.

Beer of month club offering. Pours a hazy yellowish color - not all that attractive looking. Faint nose of some lemon, grass and a little wheat. Taste is very simple - not bad, just not much to it. A little lemon - and a touch of malt. Pretty close to a water with some lemon, all in all. Drinkable, just a little boring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A cloudy golden brown body. A nice white head that faded to a white coating. A nice wheat aroma that had a tartness that mixed well with the tartness of the lemon. Flavor was similar. Although the beer was two dimensional it was refreshing. A smooth finish that had a moderate mouth feel.

"Hefe like in itís banana spice aroma and flavor. Maybe a little thinner, with a touch more grassy hops and a little cereal. So so. Probably wonít revisit..."

Poured from bottle. Clear golden color, no head. Rotten fruit aroma. Light body with a sweet rotten fruit flavor and a light finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Trouble calling a wheat. Canít really place... Tasted like a crappy fruit beer mixed with a dry lager

Pours a hazy yellow with two fingers of head. Aroma is wheat. Somewhat corney. Flavor follows and is sweet. Medium to light bodied. Nice beer

From the first scent to the final aftertaste, this "beer" (?) is foul and off-putting. A pretty and unique orangey tea color pours into a flat, headless liquid which smells as if itís gone bad. First sip tastes - indeed - like tea...like lemon tea which has been left out in the sun until something grows in it. The aftertaste is sour and skunky. Mine had 4.7% alcohol, so I can use the rest of the 6-pack to clean rust off old hinges.

Not a terrible wheat but Iím not impressed by any means. Good pour & bland aroma. Never been a fan of wheats & this doesnít change that stance!

Bottle.Pours an ugly orange with no head to it. Aroma is solely of orange. The taste is really awful, has lemongrass and some odd sourness to it. Tastes like it went bad, but judging from other opinions, thatís apparently what they were going after. Absolutely canít recommend. Site says 5.4% alcohol, bottle says 4.7%.
