2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A- Malty, real maple syrup, caramel, nutty.
A- Copper color, clear liquid, quickly fading brown head.
T- Malty, subtle maple syrup, caramel, bready.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish.
O- Not too shabby. I could actually smell and sort of taste the maple syrup. I am not a brown ale fan but this one was alright. Could benefit from more of a nutty taste and a tab more maple on the palate otherwise good.

Pours dark brown with dark red hues and a foamy head. Aromas nutty, caramel, toffee. Flavors of light toffee, caramel and just a faint hint of maple (almost unnoticed). Lightly sweet. Light.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sweet aroma of malted grain, maple, caramel, honey, and light, floral hops. Very delicate, but very pleasant. The pour is sweet-tea brown with a very thin beige head that goes quickly and leaves no lacing. The mouthfeel is on the thin side, with mild carbonation. The taste is honey sweet, with a grainy bitter towards the end and smooth honey lingering. Very pleasant all around, shame the mouthfeel is so weak.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass purchased in Denver. I like it a lot. At first I thought it was sweet, but I may be associating maple with syrup.

"Really light generic maple/caramel aroma and flavor with some light roast and a slight medicinal aspect. Not too impressed with this one............."

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Beer of the month club offering. Pours a clear brown with almost no head whatsoever. Sweet and malty aroma. Really enjoyed the taste - definitely had some sweetness from the maple syrup, and there was a core nutty-taste typical of brown ales. Good, easy to drink beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, ivory head, with slight lacing, over a clear brown (SRM 20) body......nose is light cocoa, hints of chocolate, no hops, balance to the malts.....taste is slightly sweet, with cocoa, chocolate, slight spice notes, minimal hops, balance to the malts.....mouth feel, light of medium body, no alcohol, low carbonation, with slight acid. Although this beer has no major flaws, it is simple and light. There are many better examples out there. It lacks hop aroma and flavor, since it is slightly sweet, it falls into the "Southern English Brown" category of the present BJCP vernacular. To improve it would require a substantial redo of the malt bill and a reconsideration of hop types and quantities. BJCP 6/3/12/4/6

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good nut brown color with thin light tan collar, decent lacing. Aroma is maple sweetness, and a nutty-caramel aroma as well. Taste is also nutty, caramel with the maple taking a big presence. Thin body for a brown and low carbonation. Needs a better malt backbone and maybe some more hops both up front and at the end.
