tnkw01 (107), USA Apr 16, 2008 Bottle. Pretty good beer. I thought it might be too sweet or thick. It’s not. It does have a slight maple taste and smell. Just a touch too bitter, believe it or not. One would expect maple to be sweet. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this beer.
obxdude10 (1387), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 15, 2008 This beer poured a dark brown color with nice lacing left around the glass. The aroma was of nuts and naturally a subtle hint of maple syrup. The flavor and body were very smooth with notes of toasted bread, barley, oatmeal and a slight bit of cream. The body is very sweet, and so is the finish and aftertaste. I didn’t taste a whole lot of the advertised maple syrup, so I was a little disappointed. But it’s still a bit better than most average brown ales. thehoff (518), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Jul 2, 2008 Smells syrupy sweet. Very malty in the smell. Oatmeal cereal with milk smell. Dark brown body with bubbly thin cream head. Taste is very light and sweet. It tastes a little like maple but something else sweet there that I can’t quite place. Not bad but I couldn’t drink too much. GMCC2181 (308), Bear, Delaware, USA Jul 1, 2008 Damn! What a low rating for an ok beer... Well aroma is sweet maple sugar. Taste is sweet maple syrup. It is a little watery.... Also caramel, roasted malt and hint of chocolate. Not bad, just a little thin. An ok beer obvoiusly not my favorite brown ale but ok...Thanks StFun! alobar (587), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 25, 2008 Pours a dark brown with an off-white head.
