2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours hazy orange with a thick skim of an off white head. Aroma is pepper, coriander, lemon, wheat, underripe stone fruit, toast, salty Cream of Wheat cereal, light spicy hops. Flavor is cereal, wet limestone, lots of wheat, lemon, tart underripe stone fruit, mop water, light buttered popcorn, floral and spicy hops. Palate is a little slick on entry, immediately drying out and staying fairly dry with a medium strength, sharp carbonation. Really weird Saison, smells and tastes like a 70%-30% blend of an American Wheat Ale and Saison, with some acid additions.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy yellow gold,mild head,gone soon,with a cloudy film.
Had some leathery barnyard at first more of a clean leatheryness though.
Nice peppery citrus aroma, tart with slight orange/lemon.Some breadiness.Lemony rhind mild pepper finish.Smooth and not overyly tart finish enough to quench nicely.
Taste is same very crisp with some tartness more in finish.Pretty good nice for a summer porch rocker.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured into a tulip.
3.0 A: Murky brownish orange color. Small, short lived white head.
3.5 S: Wet hay and grass. Apple orchard type funk with tart green apples. Hints of rotting log and the forest after a good rain. Red, sweet apple fruitiness to round this out.
3.5 T: Green apple-esque tartness. Hay and grassiness. Itís spicy, but not in the typical peppercorn yeasty way. Rather, itís almost like a hot pepper that offers a bit of heat, but not much. Actually, itís not like that either, but itís more than just a peppercorn taste. Just try it and maybe youíll see what I mean.
4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good spritzy carbonation. Nice creaminess and super smooth.
4.0 D: A couple categories were borderline, so hereís a bit of a bonus. Tasty, solid saison. I love the tartness in here. Give it a try.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Interesting brew. Very doughy, with some sour and highly acidic flavors. Not bad, but just very different. Iíll need to drink a few more and revisit my opinions...

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz bottle, best by 7/30/12. Pours slightly hazy gold with a small white head that quickly goes to a thin film that leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is sweet bready malts, soapy floral spices.
The flavor is sweet malts with some odd soapy spices and a little sour old fruitiness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, itís too sweet with lots of odd spicing and some overripe fruit.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Half Time. Hazy golden pour topped by a sheet of white. Vegetal and cerealic nose with a sour bottom does not make for the most welcoming aroma. Strong unripe fruit esters (pear, banana) are not too abusive in the nose, but get pretty intense in mouth and quickly confronted by a wave of lactic and citric acid that feels out of bounds and bring an astringent quality to the fruit esters. Hops are nowhere to be found, the fruity acidity stealing the show and making the beer seem drier than it really is, with its hefty cereals base. A borderline train wreck, this is flawed and not very pleasant to drink.
