Linus_Stick (1480), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA May 4, 2008 A decent American dark. Aroma is weak, but mostly roasted malt and stale hops. Pour was a nice medium amber with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was slightly better than average. Stale hops, caramel and roasted malt in the front and a slightly bitter hoppy aftertaste. Nice carbonation in the start, but goes away quickly.
bubbleflubber (640), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Jul 20, 2008 Pours a clear, deep amber with a thin ring head that leaves light suds lacing down the glass. Caramel and aerated sugars to the nose. The flavors, kept in check, contain sweet caramel malt, doughy notes, and tiny bits of spice. The finish is predominantly sweet, with a mild bitter that insinuates itself very carefully and exudes some yeast and grain contingencies. The mouthfeel is soft, as the carbonation suggests. Goes down quite smoothly, light on the palate, and although nothing stands out as "over-the-top", this is one of the better Tommyknocker brews I’ve sampled to date... It’s put together and integrated decently. rocbyter (592), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Jul 16, 2008 Light malt aroma. Hazy dark orange color with a small white head. Mild beginning with a sweet finish. obxdude10 (1387), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 15, 2008 This is a pretty standard amber-style lager. There’s nothing really oustanding about it. It had a nice light amber color, but had a thin off-white head. The head left a little lacing around the glass. The aroma was a little malty with some flowery notes. The flavors were quite mild, but smooth. Some of the notes included a bit of hops, bread and grains. The finish was a little dry and flavorful, with additional notes of hops and malt. Overall, this was a very decent amber lager, but nothing too outstanding. VitaminR (242), USA Jun 25, 2008 Slight fruity nose and mild spicy hops. Rich amber color, medium head. Full malty sweetness, light fruit and spicy hop (Tettnang?) with mild bitterness. Light to medium body, good carbonation, soft fruity and floral finish. Tasty Dark Lager, was a nice easy drinker.
