2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, grain/husks), moderately hoppy (resin), with light notes of celery and detergent.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Kind of plain with some dirty/rough edges, but a bit better than normal for this brewery.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle- Pours hazy dark golden with a thin off white head. The aroma is piney hops and sweet malt. The taste is dirty dishwater malty, hops, not my style of IPA, I like more hoppy and less malty. Body is a little thin. Average.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle pours amber with tan head. Aroma of sweet citrus and pine. Flavors dominated by ruby red grapefruit, grass, and pine. Sweeter than most IPAs but a decent straight forward IPA nonetheless.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Amber orange with an off white head. Piney, herbal, and earthy, with just a little bit too sweet of a malt profile. Good bitterness, but the hop profile isn’t especially inviting. Not bad, though.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pick Axe - aroma is the piney, grapefruit, caramel malt smell common to many IPAs. Initially, it’s a little more butterscotch/diacetyl than I’d like, but the grapefruit stands out more the more you sip and swish around the contents. Head is fairly small; lacing minimal. Taste is nice grapefruit with mostly pleasing hoppy finish, though there is also a trace of skunk-funk (my term for something oddly vegetal and skunky that I find in some IPAs, either aroma or flavor-wise - first experienced it in Abita Jockamo - I wonder what causes this phenomenon?). Anyway, still a mostly good balance of sweet malts and hops. Medium-bodied with good texture. Liked this more than I was figuring I would based on the modest appearance and varying aroma. Decent IPA.

I would get something else if I had the choice. The aroma in nice hoppy a little sweet the color is orange to brown. The taste is really sweet and conflicting a lot of competing going on. Taste reminds me of sweet tea.

Pours a cloudy dark orange with very little head. Grapefruit and citrus flavors. Smooth with mild hops and malts. Good IPA. Nothing spectacular but would have it again

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to adnielsen. Thanks! Hazy copper with a thick froth of an orange tinged white head of foam. Pungent, resinous, and bitter hops jump into your nose from the glass. Taste is savory and sweet. This is a very interesting tasting beer. Its got a nice juicy note to it that really just stands out. Drying on the tongue in the finish. Pleasantly surprised with this beer.
