3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pick Axe - aroma is the piney, grapefruit, caramel malt smell common to many IPAs. Initially, it’s a little more butterscotch/diacetyl than I’d like, but the grapefruit stands out more the more you sip and swish around the contents. Head is fairly small; lacing minimal. Taste is nice grapefruit with mostly pleasing hoppy finish, though there is also a trace of skunk-funk (my term for something oddly vegetal and skunky that I find in some IPAs, either aroma or flavor-wise - first experienced it in Abita Jockamo - I wonder what causes this phenomenon?). Anyway, still a mostly good balance of sweet malts and hops. Medium-bodied with good texture. Liked this more than I was figuring I would based on the modest appearance and varying aroma. Decent IPA.

I would get something else if I had the choice. The aroma in nice hoppy a little sweet the color is orange to brown. The taste is really sweet and conflicting a lot of competing going on. Taste reminds me of sweet tea.

Pours a cloudy dark orange with very little head. Grapefruit and citrus flavors. Smooth with mild hops and malts. Good IPA. Nothing spectacular but would have it again

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to adnielsen. Thanks! Hazy copper with a thick froth of an orange tinged white head of foam. Pungent, resinous, and bitter hops jump into your nose from the glass. Taste is savory and sweet. This is a very interesting tasting beer. Its got a nice juicy note to it that really just stands out. Drying on the tongue in the finish. Pleasantly surprised with this beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy orange beer, with a slightly off-white head. Aromas of cat litter, and some muted grassy hops. Tastes of muted floral/herbal hops, some grassy notes, dirty water, and some sweet malts. Finish is bittersweet with some grapefruit. Inoffensive, but not something I would try again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
this ale had a orange-copper pour and made a one finger faint off-white head, effervescence looked medium or so, some small streams of bubbles in the glass, this drink left spots and small fingers of lacing on the sides of the glass,
the aromas were caramel, toasted malt, bread, some floral and grass hops, orange fruit and some malt sweetness, malt stands out in this brew while the hops were in the background,
there were flavors of toasted malt, grass hops, a little bread and caramel, the malt tasted a little muted or dull, a little orange fruit and citrus,
there was a little hop bitterness after the finish with malt flavor trailing on the palate,
the mouth feel was about medium, carbonation was less than medium,
an IPA with a decent nose but the flavor was muted and/or dull.

Nice aroma of piney & citrusy hops. Orange/ light amber in color. Flavor is more on the sweet side, w/ a decent bitter finish. Not as good as the nose. A pretty good IPA overall.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle, best by June 18, 2012. Served at around 40F.
Pours slightly hazy amber/copper with a small one finger white head that leaves some nice spotty lacing and holds a light cap.
Aroma is mostly grassy and floral hops, a bit of orange citrus, touch of apricot, decent amount of bread and caramel malt. There is some sort of metallic note I’m getting as well. Good strength.
Flavor is grassy, floral and resinous hops, bready malt, some caramel and toffee, mild sweetness, decent bitterness. Minimal alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit oily, good carbonation.
A decent IPA, nothing groundbreaking.
