The body was orange amber in color with a slight haze. The carbonation appeared lively, and the head was two fingers thick, and very well retained. The smell was deceptively honey like at first, but then gave way to herbal hops. The taste was very tropical, with Mandarin orange, pineapple, and mango flavors, The bitterness was atypically modest for the style. The finish however provided a good deal of hop based dryness. It was a little thinner than medium bodied. Nicely approachable.

Tommyknocker Pick Axe IPA. 6,2 % Duft: grape, Smag: citrus, grape, meget sødme, sødme alle bær smag, dejlig lang eftersmag af det her sødme man får fra både malten og humlen. dog ikke så bitter

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Slightly unclear dark orange color, medium sized fairly quickly diminishing off - white to beige head that leaves good lacing. Not a lot of aroma other than lightly hops, lightly malts, lightly fruits. Taste malts, hops, nicely bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Nice.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy orange colour with a mesium sized, not lasting off-white head. Smells hops, fresh, fruity, some orangepeel. Tastes orangepeel, hops, bitter, fruity, fresh. Too much orangepeel for my likings, could use more sweetness. Medium body, fizzy carbo.

Bottle from Capone’s and Wegman’s. Pours clear copper with 2-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is orange marmaladey fruit, caramel malt, hopcitrus. Tastes bitter, hoppy, and sadly metallic at the finish. Smells better than it tastes. Not good.

12 oz bottle. Nice crisp drinking beer. Not overly hoppy for an ipa. I could see myself drinking several. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from bamsen78. Thank you a lot ! Shared with McTapps. Classic IPA starting off with citrus and loads of hops. Drinkable, very quaffy with a slight bitter finish. In the middle maybe a bit watery but with different citrus aromas. Good one.

McTapps (4589) - Ruhrcity, North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 25, 2013
Bottle from Bamsen78 - thank you a lot! It pours out in a clear dark amber colour with low head and medium to crisp body. Nose of aromatic hops and dark caramel. Taste of fresh hops, citrus, herbs, pepper, nuts, caramel and spruce. Easy and nice to drink with a very quaffable and medium bitter finish. The beer is as nice and delicious as expected, yet it lacks some deepness and body.
