2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle pours an orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma is piney with a bit of citrus hops. Taste is bitter with a bit of sweetness coming from the malt, a bit of spruce and grapefruit. Nice carbonation, but the taste is a bit underbalanced for me.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an orange color. Pretty cloudy. About one finger frothy white head with big bubbles. Decent retention, odd lacing. The clumpy bubbles cling to the glass. Cool!
Aroma is caramel. Roasted malts. Very earthy and woodsy. Itís almost like a musk scent. Some citrus zest.
Taste follows the nose. Woodsy, orange zest. Malty, yet leans bitter. A little resin on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Hops arenít so much bittering, more so earthy than anything. Does not finish very clean. A little gritty.
Overall, itís not bad. A little different than your usual IPA, because it is so earthy. The weird lacing last all the way to the finish. I want to love it, but I donít. Itís a little odd, maybe even experimental. Iíd probably recommend it because it is so different. However, I wonít buy it again. The best part about it is the lacing. Seriously, that was cool! Was that unintentional?

Nice and beautiful, amber orange beer with a long lasting cloudy head. Mild aroma has some notes of caramel and wood and maybe a bit herbs. Taste is light bitter. Some grapefruit and citrus, little wood and caramel. Not very fresh or exotic fruity. Little spices on tongue.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Moderate to heavy roasted, caramel and bread for the malt, light to moderate cooked orange for the hops, moderate dough for the yeast, with raisin and dried fig in the background. Head is average size, starting fizzy/frothy turning creamy, off-white with some slippery lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy dark amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a soft to lively carbonation and a dry finish. Not a bad beer, but too malt dominant for my tastes in an IPA.

Light brown beer with a beige foam. Quite nice creamy and fruity aroma. Round and soft bitterness. Some caramel and bread in the flavor. Not a lot of grape fruit or grassy bitterness. Love the mouth feel though. Overall a pleasant experience.

Malt bomb. This smells like Iím going to hate it. The malt tastes like old moly leather shoes. Not good. Pour is a cloudy golden. Ugh. Why did I drink such bad beers early in 2014?

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It has a beautiful dark amber complexion, a medium and persistent foam and the smell is not as marked as in many American IPAs. It smells familiar hops with fruity touch of apricot and citrus. Unlike many American IPAs, it has a nice malty flavor which offers caramel notes to the extent that I can reach to taste malt properly within the hops takes over. Hop bitterness is dominated by citrus and apricot and especially apricot puts sweetness level slightly higher. IBU is 55, but although it is a relatively high IBU value so kept the bitterness fine with its malty appearance.
