Wonderful citrusy hop aroma with hints of caramel maltiness coming through. Looks like a clear IPA in the glass with suitable-good lacing. Definitely an IPA in flavor even if the IBUs are a bit low. Wow does the American hop flavor come through, very nice. Even has grassy notes but not in a bad way from the abundance of hops. However I get just a touch of medicinal edge on the finish, a product of one or more of the hops I suspect as I’ve experienced it in my own way over the top DIPA. Malt & caramel flavors are well balanced. It has a Wonderful silky smooth mouthfeel, perfect. Overall this brew is everything except bitter enough for a standard IPA. Just a touch of alcohol comes through, it’s very drinkable (probably enhanced by the lower IBUs). Far too many IPAs are publicity and glitter, this one is simply good. A surprisingly straightforward hop delivery device emphasizing flavor and aroma over bitterness.

Bottle - pours dark gold with an average head that dissipates fairly quickly. Minimal lacing. Has a nice floral citrus aroma and a hop flavor that is not overdone. I could see myself having a few more of these.

Sweet and grapefruity. Typical IPA aroma. Lovely auburn hue to the body. Head disapates quickly. I liked this IPA.

Tommyknocker has been getting more distribution in the Northeast lately, and that is a good thing. Russet-amber pour with a nice head. The mellow pine resin aroma suggests a West Coast style IPA, and the flavor confirms it - but it is not as dry as those tend to be. Slightly oily and resinous, with some grapefruit juice and a bit of the ol’ cat piss. A good IPA.

Bottle. Pours a deep copper with a huge slightly off white head. Aroma dominated by floral hops. Flavor is quite clean and hoppy and leaves a tingly feeling on the tip of my tongue. Not overly bitter. The hop bite is bold up front but not aggressive. Would pair well with spicy foods such as Southwestern or Indian cuisine.

12 oz. Clear copper with a lasting half-inch of cream. Aroma is a pleasant mix of biscuit, toast, caramel, earthy orange blossom honey, resin, and tea leaf. Taste is the same mix, but with some peppery rye and resin tones. Light-medium body has low carbonation and is well-balanced. Dam good sessioner.

Bottle thanks to adnielsen. Thanks! Hazy copper with a thick froth of an orange tinged white head of foam. Pungent, resinous, and bitter hops jump into your nose from the glass. Taste is savory and sweet. This is a very interesting tasting beer. Its got a nice juicy note to it that really just stands out. Drying on the tongue in the finish. Pleasantly surprised with this beer.

Coppery brown, Fluffy white head. Peppery, piney aroma, with a good deal of hops. Flavor is very hoppy. Surprisingly assertive, compared to some other stuff I’ve had from this brewery. Piney and woodsy. BB: 01/23/12

Smells much better than the flavor. The hops are there but are strangely a bit soapy. This beer is okay but isn’t memorable at all.

Gold pour with off white foamy head and lace. Aroma is huge resiny hops. Sweet caramel malt with a nice finishing bitter. Very sweet. Medium/full bodied with good carbonation. Pretty nice beer.
