Brilliantly balanced. Pumpkin flavor comes out in the first breath after a swig. The pumpkin spices are detectable but not strong. A delicious beer.

12oz bottle. very dark for the style(deep brown) with a small white head. nose has lots of spice(nutmeg, cinnamon) and dark malts with molasses. makes for a very interesting aroma. flavor has notes of molasses, chocolates, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg. medium body. one of the better pumpkin beers i’ve had.

Tastes like pumkin and molasas and other fall spices. Medium brown with very little head. One of the better pumkin ales in myopinion!!

Dark brown with a cream colored head that faded quickly. Scent is a bit sweet malt, some roastiness, some pumpkin, a bit of spice and a tad of hops. Quite sweet at first, light spices and molasses make quite an impression with a bit of the pumpkin and roastiness coming in with some hops at the end. Medium palate. A tasty ale altogether.

Location: 12 oz bottle from a small store in Hoboken, 8/30/11

Aroma: The nose is pumpkin and spice mostly, with some other sweet notes as well
Appearance: Pours a dark brown color, with a light orange hue, small head, and light lace
Flavor: Tastes similar to the nose, lots of spice & pumpkin, malty, medium sweet, mild earthy hop
Palate: The body is medium, it has a average (plus) carbonation, and a sticky mouthfeel
Overall Impression: My first Pumpkin beer of the 2011 Pumpkin beer season! I have mixed feelings whenever Pumpkin beer season starts, becuase I love Pumpkin beer, but it also signifies the end of summer (even more so for me then the upcoming Monday off that is happening next week). As for the beer, I’m rater #5 of this one, so I guess it is a new one this season. If that’s the case they should keep making it, because this is a very nice Pumpkin beer. It has a really nice flavor and a good drinkability. A very nice first pumpkin beer of the year.

A darker pumpkin beer but i feel like it nails pumpkin pie pretty well. Gues this is just how my grams makes it.

Pours a dark amber with a thin tan head. The arome had a lot of spice and pumpkin. The flavor was well balanced. This was a very good beer.

One of the darker pumpkin beers I have had. Smells of malt and spices. Taste has a hint of pumpkin but more spice and molasses. Ok.

Pours a deep amber brown color with a sopay white head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, roast, and pumpkin spice. Light sweet caramel flavor with some subtle spice with some nice roast. Pretty solid. Tommyknocker puts out a quality product.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very dark caramel-brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was caramel, molasses, raisin and nut. The flavor was bitter and nutty with light notes of nutmeg, molasses, pepper, and wood. There was a semi-sweet and roasty malt base. The finish was long and complex. Medium body. Interesting.
