Dark ale with a slight red glow. Sweet tasting with winter fruits in the aroma for a suitable winter ale. Has a mild toffee flavouring and easy to drink.

Bottle. My first Welsh beer. Pours a maroon red color with a frothy beige head. Aroma is of toasted malts, hops, dark fruit and caramel. Flavor is of the toasted malt, hops, floral and fruity notes (not in the way of dark fruit though), along with some toffee and caramel notes. The body is medium and slightly dry. Overall a pretty nice ESB. Nice to have a slightly mild British beer, after having so many big and bold American beers.
