COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Ingredients: Floor malted barley and wheat, Goldings and Cascade whole hops, finished with Fuggles.
Cwrw Hâf is our immensely popular summer ale. Very light in colour and character. A refreshing citrus palate with a fruity aromatic hop. This makes for a great summer drink.

Bottled, 500ml from Stans Nisa, Llangollen, Wales. Orange amber with white head. Initially there is a soft wet cardboard note, highish carbonation, slightly earthy then a boiled malt note. This gets drier as the beer develops on the palate, some fruitiness. Not one I would go back to, but ok.

50cl bottle from Caerdydd. Floral, citrusy hops. Fresh grass and leaves. Golden clear pour with frothy head. Medium sweet with a lot of hoppy bitterness. Very fruity, a lot of lemon and lime to the taste. Light boddy for a golden ale, thin texture, lively carbonation and pleasant bitter/tangy finnish. This beer has surprisingly intense hops bitternes, and very multifarious taste to it, despite it watery body. I’d love to try it on tap someday. I heared that Tomos Watkin Brewery has an excelent selection, and this beer is a good example to start from.

Pours clear amber with a short, slightly off-white head. Scent is slightly sour , fruity malt, a bit of caramel. Taste is a watery, yet pleasant caramel malt with a slightly herbal hop bitter. A very nice, soft, comfortable drinkable ale.

Pale colour. A bit of citrusy flavour and aroma. sweet malts. Not too interesting, though. But my first Welsh rating, I believe.

Test vom 9.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,7,7,9,13,8 - 8,50

50cl bottle from a supermarket in Swansea. It pours a clear deep amber liquid with a huge bubbly/spongy white head that lasts throughout the beer but leaves no lacing. The aroma is light but quite complex: there are mostly floral hops, with some mild herbs, along with a little citron, wheat and a malt base (a little caramel). It tastes likewise, maybe a little maltier, but mild. It is lightly sweet and medium bitter. It has a nice herbal aftertaste. Carbonation is soft and it has a dry finish. A little watery taste and light-medium body, which is poor for an ale like this. Very refreshing and drinkable, though. Interesting summer beer with a very nice presentation (it lacks customized crown cap, though).

Hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty, caramel and light hoppy - flowers and fruit. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. A bit watery. 030710

Bottle. Pours a clear glowing orange with a medium fizzy frothy off-white head. Aroma is fairly summery, wheat, balanced toasty sweetness, summery English hops, bit of dirt and grass, refreshing. Flavor is a bit duller, jell-o sweetness, earthy bitterness, bit of wheat matches up nicely with the Goldings, the citrus is pleasant too imparting a bit of orange. Light bodied, heavy water feel.
